Day 1: Egg in Vinegar

3rd/4th Day 1 in Vinegar

The egg lab began on Tuesday, January 25, 2011. On the first day, a fresh,
uncooked egg was submerged in vinegar and allowed to sit overnight.
The mass of the egg before the egg was placed in the vinegar was 78.82 g.
A smaller beaker was placed on top of the egg in the vinegar to keep the egg
fully submerged in the vinegar solution. I predict that the vinegar will dissolve
the hard calcium shell on the outside of the egg over night.
